WHY THIS CHORE
SHOW UP READY.
Walking, not running — but no less of a genuine physical and mental test over real distance, with a proper endurance-event atmosphere at the finish.

VERIFIED EVENT DETAILS · DAILY CHORE EDITORIAL COMMENTARY
An Ultra-Hiking Format, Not a Run
Mammutmarsch has built a genuine following across Germany as one of the country's leading ultra-hiking event series — this isn't a race in the traditional running sense, but a serious test of endurance covered entirely on foot, within a defined time window.
The Route
Starting and finishing at the Olympia Reitanlage in Munich-Riem, the route passes the Feringasee, stretches along the Isar riverbank and through the English Garden — genuine variety across water, nature and true Munich city atmosphere.
A Real Finish-Line Experience
Despite the walking format, finishers get the full endurance-event treatment: certificate, medal and finisher band waiting at the end — this is treated as a genuine athletic accomplishment, not a casual stroll.
Daily Chore Take
If running injuries or simply a different kind of challenge appeal, Mammutmarsch offers real distance and real difficulty without needing to run a single step — a genuinely underrated entry point into endurance culture for people who don't identify as "runners."
