Two World Titles, One Island
Hvar hosts both the 100M and Sprint 5K Spartan World Championships across the same weekend — genuine world-title obstacle racing layered onto one of the Adriatic's most scenic islands.
The Course
Rocky shores, open-water swims between obstacle sectors, city running through Hvar's old town, and a climb to the island's iconic hilltop fortress — a genuinely varied test compared to the mud-and-forest template most OCR races default to.
Beyond the World Titles
The same weekend runs a full Spartan Trifecta Weekend, letting age-group athletes complete Sprint, Super and Beast formats for their own Trifecta medal alongside the elite championship racing.
Daily Chore Take
If you've only ever pictured Spartan racing as mud pits in a forest, Hvar is the version that reframes OCR as a genuine destination trip — factor in a few extra days for the island itself.
