SHOW UP READY.
Short on distance, brutal on vertical — the highest mountain in the British Isles, up and down, in a single race.

Britain's Highest, Up and Down
From Claggan Park at sea level, the route follows the Pony Track to the 1,345m summit of Ben Nevis — the highest mountain in the British Isles — before a demanding technical descent back to the start.
Not a Beginner's Race
Entry is restricted to runners who've completed three category A hill races — this protects both the field and the mountain itself, given the technical descent and genuinely exposed terrain near the summit.
Fort William
Known as the UK's "outdoor capital," Fort William sits at the base of Britain's steepest trails and most technical ridgelines — a fitting home for one of the country's most demanding single-day mountain races.
Daily Chore Take
If Ben Nevis is the target, the actual training block starts with the three qualifying category A races, not the mountain itself — build that pathway a full season ahead.
