WHY THIS CHORE
SHOW UP READY.
A flat, fast, PB-friendly course through one of Southeast Asia's most photogenic skylines — the heat is the real opponent here, not the terrain.

VERIFIED EVENT DETAILS · DAILY CHORE EDITORIAL COMMENTARY
Malaysia's Premier Running Event
First held in 2009 under Standard Chartered's title sponsorship, the KLSCM has grown into Southeast Asia's major running weekend — past editions have drawn close to 38,000 runners, with genuine community and charity roots alongside the competitive field.
The Course
A flat, urban, World Athletics and AIMS-certified route showcasing Kuala Lumpur's most iconic landmarks — the Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower and Stadium Merdeka — genuinely fast on paper, though the hot, humid tropical climate adds a real physiological challenge regardless of pace goals.
Six Ways In
From the accessible 5km Fun Run and 10K through to the half and full marathon, plus kids' distances, this is deliberately built as a citywide event rather than a purely competitive one.
Daily Chore Take
If a flat PB course sounds appealing but Berlin or Chicago feel overdone, KL offers a genuinely fast course with a completely different climate and cultural backdrop to train and race for.
