Finland's Gravel Season Finale
Held in the Salpausselkä UNESCO Global Geopark — a landscape literally formed from gravel and sand — Falling Leaves Lahti has become the traditional close of the Finnish gravel calendar, now in its 7th season as part of the Nordic Gravel Series.
Two Days, Two Formats
Saturday runs the UCI Panaracer Gravel World Series qualifier (175km and 100km); Sunday shifts to the Nordic Gravel Series classification race across 50, 80 or 145km. The routes also double as the course for the 2027 European Gravel Championships.
The Terrain
Scenic, remote hardpack gravel through fields, lakes and forest — over 85% off-road, riding through the changing autumn colours the event is named for.
Daily Chore Take
The full weekend (shakeout rides, post-ride buffet, lake sauna, closing party) makes this feel like a proper gravel holiday, not just a race — worth blocking out the whole week if you can.
