The Place to Chase a PB
Since debuting on the Australian calendar in 2004, IRONMAN Western Australia has built a genuine reputation as the destination for a personal best — bike and run courses among the flattest anywhere on the global IRONMAN circuit.
The Course
The swim loops around the iconic Busselton Jetty — one of the longest wooden jetties in the world — before a flat 180km bike leg and a marathon finishing along the Busselton foreshore in front of the crowd.
Real Qualifying Weight
Genuine age-group qualifying slots to the IRONMAN World Championship are on the line here, alongside the destination-race appeal of the nearby Margaret River wine region.
Daily Chore Take
If a full-distance PB is the actual goal, this course's reputation is earned, not hype — combine it with a few extra days exploring Margaret River for a genuine end-of-season trip.
