WHAT TO EXPECT

Kicking Off the Benelux Season
Maastricht traditionally opens the HYROX Benelux calendar each year, ahead of Utrecht and Ghent later in the season. A four-day race window at MECC Maastricht spreads out what would otherwise be a single crowded Saturday, making check-in and station queues noticeably smoother.
The City
Maastricht sits right at the meeting point of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, making it one of the most accessible HYROX venues in the region regardless of which of the three countries you're travelling from.
Format
Standard HYROX: 8km of running across eight 1km segments, alternating with eight functional stations — ski erg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls.
Daily Chore Take
A reliable, well-organized season-opener rather than a flashy debut — exactly the kind of race to build early-season form on before the calendar gets busier.
