WHY THIS CHORE
SHOW UP READY.
The event that's explicitly rewriting what a fitness competition is supposed to feel like — "you never compete alone," with the party continuing long after the workout ends.

Why It's Worth Watching
METRIX has grown fast since its 2025 debut, returning to Magazine London for a fourth time in September 2026 with over 3,000 athletes competing at its most recent edition. The pitch is direct: high-performance fitness fused with the production and spectacle of a world-class nightclub — DJs, club-grade lighting, and a soundsystem to match.
The Format
Teams of two move through five ten-minute stations in a "you-go-I-go" relay format: Ski Erg, Burpees Over Line, Row Erg, Bike Erg, and Sled Push & Shuttle Run. Partners split the work however they like, but only one person works at a time. The objective is the greatest total distance or reps across the team.
Venue
Magazine London, Greenwich Peninsula — a 3,000 m² riverside venue with skyline views across to Canary Wharf, run by Broadwick (the team behind Printworks and Drumsheds).
Prize Pool
Up to £15,000 in prize money for the winning doubles team.
Beyond the Floor
METRIX bills itself as a full-day experience, not just a competition — recovery zones with ice baths and saunas, food and drink, and a social space designed to keep people there long after their heats finish.
Who It's For
Athletes who want the structure of a fitness competition without the solemnity — built explicitly around inclusivity and community ("you never compete alone"), and equally appealing to first-timers and competitive doubles pairs chasing the prize purse.
