A gravel race that feels like home
Sparkassen-HeideGravel 2026 is one of the most honest gravel races on the German calendar. On the weekend of August 29–30, 2026, the scene rolls into Taura near Torgau in Saxony. Race day is Sunday, August 30. If you were there in 2025, you know: part of the course was ridden at the German Gravel Championship that year. In 2026, you'll ride the same terrain.
Three distances, three characters
Three routes, three completely different days in the saddle:
- 30 km gravel race — approx. 300m elevation. The entry point. Ideal as a first gravel event in 2026, if you want to try the format.
- 60 km gravel race — approx. 600m elevation. The classic mid-distance. Enough length for serious racing, short enough to go full gas.
- 100 km gravel race — approx. 900m elevation. The queen stage. Shares terrain with the 2025 German Championship.
Race day: start times
- 10:30 — 100km start
- 11:30 — 60km start
- 12:45 — 30km start
Scored in individual, team and age-group classifications. Timing at the finish, medal for every finisher.
Entry fee & registration
- 30km from €49
- 60km €65
- 100km €85
Online registration closes August 26, 2026 at 12:00 — or earlier if the participant cap is reached. On-site late registration is possible, but costs an extra €10. Sparkasse Leipzig customers get 20% off with direct online registration (if eligible).
The weekend around it
HeideGravel is more than just a Sunday race. Saturday is deliberately built as a community day:

Kids' Fat Tire Race
At 17:00 on Saturday, the free kids' fat tire race kicks off — 300 to 400m, bike or balance bike, no registration needed. Helmets mandatory.
Camping & logistics on-site
- Camping: €15 per person per night
- Breakfast add-on: €12
- Free parking, showers, changing rooms
